Field studies trips for students from years 5 to 12
The trip caters for students of:
- Senior Biology
- Multistrand Science
- Junior Science
- Marine Studies
- Geogaphy and Earth Sciences
Day Sessions run from 8.30am to 4.30pm
A day session includes:
Guided Field study sessions, Lecture sessions, Assistance with worksheets, Optional use of Pool, Snorkelling tuition, Use of Mask snorkel and fins, Rocky shore and/or estuary snorkelling, Guided walks and treks, Slide programs, Use of Videos, Books and Journals, Field trip debrief - Interactive museum sessions with live specimen projection to the big screen television, Use of concept room.
Night Sessions run from 7.00pm to 9.00pm
Included in your day fee as guests of the park is an optional
interactive lecture/evening session .Sessions may include food webs, microcommunities,adaptations presentations to corroborate the field work and provide students the opportunity to clarify their knowledge and gain further depth into their investigations

Camping is a great alternative to the lodge accommodation.
An open grassy field next to the estuary may add that real sense of adventure for your group on their next field trip or marine camp.

Marine Discovery Sessions
Prices are per person and dependant on group size. Please contact us for details.
2 hour Museum Discovery session
This session is an introduction only .Students / Participants will spend 50 to 60 mins in each of the two main rooms. They will learn of some of the more interesting facts about the ocean from Marine Biologist Ted Brambleby before they “investigate” the concept room and discover just how diverse the ocean realm is.
Teachers are
invited to discuss their required outcomes with us so sessions can be tailored to meet these. Prices available on request.
3 to 5 hours Museum Discovery session and field Study
As per the 2 hour session but a safe effective field component can be added to explore one of our habitats - Rocky Shore, Sand dune, Mangroves, Wallum heathland or Coastal Forest. All sessions can be syllabus-linked and incorporate work sheets and snorkelling for Years 5 to 6 if conditions permit. Prices available on request.
Maximum in the Museum at any time is 30. Groups over 30 will be divided into 2 sessions utilizing the Concept room for a slide show and other discoveries then a museum interactive session on a rotational basis. |

Marine Environments Education Camps
(2 to 4 days duration)
This program is less academic but a fantastic opportunity to immerse students into the realm of the ocean. Please call to discuss your program requirements and the pricing structure.
All our Scuba and Snorkel courses are N.A.U.I. World Wide sanctioned and will include a Wall Certificate and C-Card. All courses contain a Marine Awareness component.
